Domaine Saint-Jean de Conques
Pays d’Oc: 30 Years of Passion For three decades, the quality of Pays-d’Oc wines has remained steadfast, as exemplified in our boxed Rosé. With 20,000 winegrowers, 58 grape varieties, and 130,000 hectares of vineyards, the region boasts a warm Mediterranean climate, ranging from the dry limestone of the Camargue to the humid valleys of the Pyrenees. The Oldest Vineyard in Gaul The vine in Pays-d’Oc dates back to the 6th century BC, planted by the Greeks. The oldest vineyard, established by the Romans in 118 BC near Narbonne, was a gift from Emperor Augustus to his loyal soldiers. The Via Domitia facilitated wine transport from Narbonne to Rome.
